Brief outline of role:  

To ensure NA College staff adhere to the highest possible standards of quality and compliance and to closely monitor learner progress through the robust and efficient implementation of NA College quality strategy.
Responsible for monitoring the quality and performance of Teaching, Learning and Assessment staff against a range of agreed metrics, working closely with Strategic lead to ensure compliance across the NAC Group, ensuring the highest quality of teaching and learning experience for all of our learners and apprentices.
Support new staff through a comprehensive new staff support programme and prepare reports which contribute to staff appraisals and inform the probationary sign off process.
To manage, develop, implement and drive forward quality improvements by monitoring and supporting staff performance and quality and performance indicators in line with the Ofsted Common inspection framework.
To work with senior managers and directors to promote and develop quality and best practice in all aspects of teaching learning and assessment.
 
Key Responsibilities specific to role:
·     Manage a Quality team, recognised as excellent practitioners and advisers, to achieve performance improvements and embed a culture that supports continuous improvement in the quality of Teaching,Learning and Assessment.
·     Develop, implement and manage a quality strategy to drive the improvement in Teaching, Learning and Assessment across the College.
·     Provide positive, robust and effective advice, guidance, support and coaching to Department Heads, and Programme Leads and their teams to improve the quality of Teaching, Learning and Assessment, and compliance with ESFA and Ofsted requirements.
·     Manage and maintain compliance of all AwardingOrganisation requirements.
·     Effectively plan and manage robust quality reviews and audits of curriculum/programme areas, key processes etc, as required, making recommendations on action and improvement as appropriate.
·     Manage the professional development of training, teaching, learning and assessment for all staff involved in classroom and work-based learning to meet NA College expectations.
·      Work closely with all departments to support the preparation of the College SAR andQIP.
·     Develop and manage the implementation of robust in-year programme reviews against targets and actions identified in the QIP.
·     Manage workloads to ensure deadlines are met.
·     Manage the production, distribution, collection, analysis and reporting of internal and external feedback from Employers andLearners and Learner support function across the College, and follow up action.
·     Work closely with all departments to support the development of curriculum in readiness for Ofsted Inspection including driving forward performance improvement strategies.
·     Implement sound impact measures in line with EIF requirements.
·     To assist in the recruitment of high calibre delivery staff across all departments.
·     To undertake any other duties, as required, appropriate to the grade of the post.

Experience

Significant experience in managing Awarding Organisation  expectations and requirements E

Significant experience in managing the quality of  interaction between apprentice and employer for EPA preparation E

Significant experience in carrying out robust and  effective observations of teaching, learning and assessment E

Experience of Ofsted inspections E

Experience of coaching and mentoring individual staff which  has raised standards E

Experience of understanding, interpreting, producing and  analysing data, audit and MIS reports E

Qualifications and Training 

L3 Management  Qualification or willing to work towards E

Level  2 or above in Math’s and English E

Internal  quality assurance qualification   E

Level  3 assessor qualification E

Level  4 Coaching qualification D
