NA College have opened their brand new IoT Smart Factory that will be used as a bridge between employer’s skills demand and training/education. 

A key objective for all businesses is to meet net zero carbon commitments. Whether you are an employer, an employee or an individual looking to increase your knowledge and understanding of environmental awareness.

Learning outcomes: 

  • Understand the engineering manufacturing environment – Specific to high volume production. 
  • Understand the importance of sustainability within engineering manufacturing. 
  • Demonstrate hand skills in an engineering manufacturing environment – Focusing on speed, dexterity, and quality. 
  • Understand the carbon dioxide costs and impacts of everyday activities, and the ability and motivation to reduce missions, on an individual, community, and organisational basis. 
  • Understand the different types of EV/HEV vehicles and the safety requirements needed when isolating the power supply before commencing any work on a vehicle or high voltage battery pack
 

Participants will gain a recognised qualification and will be required to complete the full programme, and upon successful completion the participants will be offered an interview with a leading manufacturing organisation. 

 

Eligibility 

This bootcamp is open to any business or organisation based in County Durham, Gateshead, Newcastle, North Tyneside, South Tyneside and Sunderland. 

 

Students must be 19
