NA College have launched the highly successful Lean Organisation Management adult education course, completely online. The course specialises in improving business performance through continuous professional development.

‍With social distancing restrictions imposed for the foreseeable future, having cutting edge skills is key to local business and economic bounce-back. NA College have used the latest technology to create an online version of our highly successful Level 2 Certificate in Lean Organisation Management Techniques programme, helping to support local individuals in having a competitive edge when they return to work after the lockdown period.

After successfully trialling the course internally, we are now confident enough to open it more widely and have plans to run some of our other Adult Education courses online in the future.

Starting on 15th June, the course will be available virtually and open to local businesses who want their staff to upskill whilst they are away from work. It is also available to individuals who may have been furloughed, placed on reduced hours or those who just want an opportunity to upskill, cross skill, or look at a new career in lean organisation or management.

The programme is funded by the Government’s Adult Education Budget, so is eligible for people who have lived in England for the past three years, are aged 19 years and over and are not currently accessing any other Government funding. All you need to complete the course is a computer or laptop and an internet connection.

Lisa Emmerson, Curriculum Manager at NA College, said: “This course has been designed for workers from all backgrounds who have been affected by the recent pandemic. We want to help by offering a wide range of individuals an opportunity to develop a new or existing skill-set in business organisation or management.”

“The course is free of charge for those aged 19 and over and only takes 4 consecutive days of online learning, meaning the course is completely flexible. On completion, each student will receive an NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Lean Organisation Management Techniques and have the option to enrol on one of our other adult short courses.”

“I would encourage anyone who is interested in furthering their career or getting the skills to change their career, to apply for the course and improve your knowledge in an area which will be key to economic growth now and in the near future.”

The course offers access to free online training and content to help develop knowledge and understanding of business improvement tools and techniques as well as what makes an effective team, including how to handle conflict. You can read the full course specification here.
